You’ve done all the right things. You set your goal, took action but somehow, somewhere along the line things didn’t work out and you didn’t get the results you wanted.

It snowed. The supplier was late, delivered the wrong thing, or in the wrong colour. The schools were shut so you had the kids at home. You got a cold. The dog died. You got tangled in the duvet and couldn’t get out of bed…..

You’ve heard them. You’ve given them. What are they?
They are excuses.

Noooo, I hear you yell. They are not excuses! They are valid reasons. They are REAL!

The economy IS bad. Customers ARE harder to find. There just isn’t as much money around so we’re bound to be struggling.

So why is it that in a bad economy, with fewer customers with less money, some businesses are doubling or tripling their turnover and profits? Are they in a special “lucky” market? Do they just have more resources?

Well they might be, but this modern age with the internet and social networking is a great leveller. Even the little people stand a good chance. So what are those thriving companies doing that the struggling ones are not doing?

It’s simple. They don’t accept or give excuses.

When you set a goal it’s pretty simple. Either you achieve it or you don’t. You either get the result you want or you don’t.

If you find yourself not getting the results you want it’s very tempting to look for reasons. But what if those reasons were just excuses? And what if those excuses were preventing you from achieving many of your goals?

What if you gave up your excuses? What if all those reasons that you gave for not getting the results could be overcome, bypassed or even turned into opportunities.

We learn to give good excuses when we are children. We learn that if the cat had kittens on our homework we get an extension. If we broke an arm we get off the 4 mile cross country run.

But this seeking out excuses doesn’t serve us at all in adulthood. And when you’re running your own business it’s a disaster. You can’t pay your staff with excuses. You can’t take them to the bank. You can’t take them to your customers

Let’s take this idea of “the economy” as an excuse not to grow a successful business. I’m not saying the situation isn’t real, or that it can be changed but the way you approach it can be. Yes people are spending more cautiously, the low hanging fruit isn’t there anymore. But what you do have, higher up are very committed and keen customers. They may be harder to find, but when you find them they are like gold dust.

So here are some ways you can start to give up your excuses.

Are you being impatient?

In this age of instant gratification we sometimes forget that some things just do take some time. Maybe you haven’t failed, but rather the results just haven’t had time to show up yet. For example in a marketing campaign there is a time lag between taking action and the clients showing up. In this middle time you need to protect your mindset. Doubts will stop you taking the very action you need to take, you need to continue to market until you can reasonably expect results then decide whether or not you have failed.

Is it time to try something different?

If your actions are not giving you the desired results try taking different action. The reason many people don’t do this is because it’s risky. They know what to expect with the tried and tested methods, even if those results aren’t great. But when you try something new you have no clue what to expect. Be brave, take a risk try something different.

Do you have a limiting belief?

The beliefs we hold shape our reality. They affect the thoughts we think, the things we say and, most importantly the action we take. The result is, just like a self fulfilling prophesy, we make them real.

The reality that you experience is a direct result of the underlying beliefs. For example having no money is the reality, and no, that’s not a limiting belief. If you have no money, that’s a fact or real. But underneath that might be a limiting belief like “I can’t make money” “I’m no good at selling” “people don’t want to buy from a small company” “people don’t spend money in a recession”

Let’s take the belief “people don’t spend money in a recession”. If you believe this, how motivated do you think you will be to get out there and sell? Probably not that motivated.

So you won’t make your sales calls, stop writing web pages or sending e-mails, and generally stop taking action around getting sales. Then it’s a foregone conclusion that you won’t have any sales thus proving yourself right.

Now you have a choice you can be right or you can be successful, but you can’t do both. Are you willing to go bankrupt to prove yourself right? No thought not. So decide that you are wrong about some things. Believe and think something different and take the action you know will get you the results.

Be brutally honest with yourself

As a coach one of my less fun tasks is to be brutally honest with people, and the get them to be honest with themselves. Be honest about where you are, the resources you have to hand and the action you can take. Pretending that it’s all going to be alright if I just say enough affirmations or do enough “positive thinking” is simply putting your head in the sand.

Use the resources you do have, take the action you can take, and you will get results. But most importantly, give up your excuses.

And now I would like to invite you to claim your free instant access to my emotional resilience online course

If you are a coach or consultant when you’re working with a client you need to get right inside the clients problem or situation, whether it’s in their business or in their mind.

You need to “try on the problem” for yourself, you almost need to install it and “run” it as if it were your problem, just for a short while. And at the same time you manage to maintain that objective standpoint.

That way you can work out HOW it is a problem, what, specifically, is the problem and how can you solve it.

In order to facilitate your client’s transformation you need to bring this problem into your conscious awareness and “run” it as a problem for yourself. Almost all healing and therapies accept this is true on some level. Some are more overt about it than others.

Think about it like disc space on a pc. When your client comes to you – they up load all their problem files onto your system. If there is not enough space the level of healing you can facilitate is limited to the amount of “space on your hard drive”

So your own problems and mind clutter will limit the free capacity you have to take on your client’s problems.

You have an inner threshold above which you cannot run any more problems, even if it’s only temporarily for your client

Not only does this limit your ability to work with any current clients but it will actually repel potential new ones.

Your client or potential client knows unconsciously just how much capacity you have

Your client or potential client will know unconsciously if you have the capacity to “hold” them through their transformation. No matter how good your marketing is, or your sales, or how skilled you are. If your client senses on any level that you can’t handle their issues they will look elsewhere for a therapist or coach.

The difficulty is that they won’t ever be aware of this consciously. They will simply sense that you are just not the right person for them.

If they do come to you as a client you will only be able to work with them to the level that you have capacity. Again you may never know this because your client’s unconscious mind will protect them and you by keeping the full scope of the problem suppressed.

The result is either

You won’t get that person as a client. They will simply go elsewhere, or…

They will come to you, but will only address certain, or smaller issues. This means they will continue to look elsewhere for a coach or consultant.

Both of the above limit you and your business.

Conversely – when you DO have enough capacity. When you are healed and centred within yourself. When you continually clear your own stuff leaving plenty of space to temporarily take over their problems your clients will get the transformation they seek.

Your happy and healed clients will then go away feeling great and tell everyone else about it. Which is exactly what you want.

How do you raise this inner threshold?

Constantly work on finding and releasing your own personal blocks and problems. Get therapy and coaching yourself. This is why so many coaches and therapists working in the personal transformational business come to me. The clear their blocks, raise their threshold and go away to create massive income, and attract clients effortlessly.

Following the joy of watching this year’s spiritual practitioners begin to step into their greatness I happened to be chatting with one of the mums at the school bus stop. She was saying how much she would like to run her own business but couldn’t.

As she spoke and I listened, I listed in my head just how many limiting beliefs she had. They twisted round and round each other and even contradicted each other. I listened in astonishment as she gave me her excuses…
She couldn’t run the business she wanted to because:

I’ve got 3 children (It’s alright for you you’ve only got 1)

I have to wait till my youngest is at school

I can’t do it now because of all the after school events

I haven’t got the money

I haven’t got the time

My husband can’t help with the childcare

There are so many people already doing what I want to do. I can’t compete with that.

On and on it went. And it was fascinating. The rules and limitations that people put in the way of their dreams.
What if all those things that we give as excuses, as reasons for NOT doing our dreams are the very reason why we SHOULD?
What if…

“I’ve got 3 children” becomes “I want to do if FOR my children to set them an example that it’s important to follow our dreams”

“I have to wait till my youngest is at school” becomes “now is the perfect time to start”

“I can’t do it now because of all the after school events” becomes “Working for myself means I’ll be able to be flexible about when I work”

“I haven’t got the money” becomes “I’ll be making more money”

“I haven’t got the time” becomes “If I make more money I can pay someone to do the things I don’t’ like doing so I’ll have more time to do the things I want”

“My husband can’t help with the childcare” becomes “when I’m successful enough my husband won’t have to work as hard so he can spend more time with the kids”

What if all the excuses we ALL have for why we can’t live our dreams are actually the reasons why we should.
It’s often said that beliefs create our reality, so start to allow yourself to believe something different. Use your excuses not to as reasons to.
Here is an exercise, and it’s one that most people don’t dare do…

Think of something you’ve always wanted to do, but haven’t yet (for whatever reason)

List ALL (and I do mean ALL) the ‘reasons’ you have for NOT doing it. Keep listing and listing until you completely run out of reasons.

Take each one in turn and think of how that excuse is actually a reason why you could, or should do that.

Then go and take one small or large step towards making your dream happen.

Enjoy!

Until next time…

Lisa

Ethics is a moral code. The problem with ethics is that everyone’s morals or ethics are different.

So what is OK for you, is NOT OK for others.

So rather than selling ethically – just following some set of rules, sell with integrity instead.

Integrity means that you are coming from a place of wholeness, of not needing the sale. When you do this you put the control and decision right back with the client. Ethics become redundant then.

Every time you speak to a potential client they will pick up your intent. They will be tuning into your energy, and the underlying message of what you want. Your desires are being broadcast.

If you are trying to persuade them to work with you because you need the money they will pick this up. People are much more sensitive than we usually give them credit for. People are also fundamentally very good at keeping themselves safe, so if they need therapy or healing and they sense that the therapists main intention for working with them is for financial reward they will not feel safe. Or at least not safe enough to book a session with you.

Clients come to therapists because they are in pain, physical or emotional pain and they need to feel safe and secure. They need to feel that throughout their process that the main thing YOU have on your mind is THEIR wellbeing. If you are working from a place of lack of abundance or needing the money at any time, your clients will pick up on this and you will both loose out.

You will lose the opportunity to facilitate wonderful change, and your client misses the opportunity to heal at a deep and profound level.

Now you might be thinking that you are a good person and of course you will only act out of love and I’m certainly not suggesting that this is the case. But if you have any sense of fear that there won’t be enough, of worry about being able to pay your bills, of needing the money more than they need the therapy then you will be doing yourself and your clients a great disservice.

When you are in a place of lack it’s not easy to not think that you need the money, and a way round this is to adopt the idea that you are here to serve your purpose, skills and gift. Your skills, talents and abilities are there for the purpose of serving, both you – to support and sustain you, and your client – to facilitate healing and transformation. By thinking and focussing on how you can serve you will find a perfect balance, where the interaction serves both of you in a karmically balanced way.

Adopt this “mantra” whenever you are connecting with a potential or existing client “how may I serve? How may I serve?”

I imagine that for whatever reason this person has approached me because I can serve them in some way. And that might be to direct them to another coach. If speaking to me helps them decide on any outcome that moves them forward then I have served.

Next time you are about to speak to a potential client repeat this mantra to yourself. Let go of any attachment to the outcome. Notice the shift in the energy of the exchange. Notice the changes in how clients respond to you.

And you’ll probably get more clients too.

Find out how you can increase you’re connection to source energy and abundance then I invite you to have a free emotional audit

Find and remove blocks to your success.

Psychics, healers and coaches tend not to be in this business for the money. For them it’s more a calling, a life’s purpose to heal and help others. So why is it that despite such good intentions their lives and work are so challenging? Here are some of the challenges:

1. Not enough paying clients

By clients I mean people who are willing to pay you pay you for your time, as opposed to those who will happily call you to “find out a bit more about what you do” or those who will come for your free introductory session and go away to “think about it”, never to return.

A client is a client when they agree to pay you. They are a prospective client when they call. They are a prospective client when they see your brochure, or website, but they are not your client until you book a session and pay you for your time.

If you don’t have a steady stream of people who will pay for your time then you have a marketing problem. If you spend more time finding clients than working with clients then you have a marketing problem.

2. Trouble convincing clients to come to come to you.

There are a lot of psychics who are great at lead generation, they get lots of people calling up for a chat or more information, but who never seem to tip over into becoming a paying client. usually this is around fear, fear of change and particularly with psychics, fear of knowing a truth they would rather pretend wasn’t there. Rapport and communication skills is a way to solve this problem.

3. Clients that don’t pay

Depending on how you run your practice you can have clients that simply don’t pay their bill. They may argue the price, claim they didn’t benefit, and worst of all – blame you for not solving their problem for them. Solving this requires simple business boundaries like a contract or terms and conditions. Get them to agree to them before you start working together and make sure they stick to them.

4. Client makes the change but rejects you or your role in making the change

Sometimes a client comes to you makes fantastic changes to themselves and their lives. They are healed. But later they deny that they ever had a problem, or that you ever helped them solve their problem. They might say things like “well it was never that bad” – Even when they had cancer and now they don’t! Or they might say “it was getting better anyway I don’t know how much what you did had to do with it”

In addition it is not uncommon for a client to completely avoid you, snub you if you run into them or reject you. They do this because you remind them of their old problem. This isn’t anything to be concerned about and can be quite healthy for the client. If your ego demands recognition and accolades then it’s you who has the problem.

5. Your client stays stuck

For example you or your client may have identified a problem, a limiting belief or a behaviour that does not serve them or an emotional response that is inappropriate, and no matter what you say or do with your client they don’t change. You know what they have to do but they can’t or don’t seem to do it. Solve this by learning more change and healing techniques and working with higher levels of energy. The more energy you have access to the greater the change in your client.

Another way a client can get stuck is they keep coming back with new problems. This can be genuine, that you have unlocked deeper parts of their unconscious mind and their issues are finally being allowed to surface so they can be dealt with, but sometimes it can indicate they have become dependent on you, and this is a problem. Working in a way that empowers the client and doesn’t disempower them will solve this one.

6. Your client rejects what you offer

Psychics are in the business of getting information that will help your client solve problems, avoid mistakes and make the most of their lives. So why is it that they then reject this very information? It might be that you have presented it in the wrong way, or it can be that they need help to integrate it in a way that supports their karmic journey.

7. You take on your client’s karma

Have you ever noticed that your client has gone away healed, their problem is completely solved, but somehow you start to develop problems that are similar or exactly the same?

When this happens you have inadvertently taken on their karma. Because the laws of karma are so little understood it’s very easy to do this. Usually their problems are an opportunity for them to grow. Find ways to helping them their problems in ways that encourage them to grow and evolve. This is the difference between showing them how, and doing it for them, or the difference between offering a helping hand, and carrying them. Find a way of working that is empowering and you will avoid taking on any client’s karma ever again, and even “work off” some of your own.

The art and Science of Prayer – As printed in Kindred Spirit 2008

Oh please God…

Have you ever prayed? I mean really prayed? Perhaps in times of desperation you have begged for help from a higher being. Maybe you offered something in exchange for solving a problem or made a promise to do or give something later. But what happens when they don’t get answered? In your hour of need how would it be if you knew that you prayers would be answered?

There has been a lot of publicity about manifesting, the law of attraction and cosmic ordering recently. If you have tried this and found that your order did not get delivered you might have wondered why. Is it possible to order or pray for and receive anything you wanted?

Prayer is a process and when you know the system you can make it work for you. There is both and art and a science to prayer when used can, quite literally, manifest your desires.

The art and science of prayer?

Prayers are answered according to this equation.

Desired Outcome = Function of (Clarity, Energy, Time)

What this says is that to get what you want you need three things: Clarity, Energy and Time.

Time is the time it takes for your desire to manifest, between you praying for what you want and it showing up in your life.

Clarity is how clear you are about what you want. This is covered in coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and in many books on manifesting, law of attraction, and cosmic ordering. But if you have ever tried to manifest by simply thinking about and focussing on what you want and wondered why it doesn’t show up, or why it takes a long time, the reason is that it misses “Energy” out of the equation.

Energy refers to your personal life force energy. Sometimes referred to as Chi, Ki, Prana or Electromagnetic fluid.

If you have high energy, and high clarity, your desire will manifest very quickly.

If you have high energy but LOW clarity, you will manifest things very quickly, but they will be whatever you happened to be thinking about at the time. When this happens it can feel like your life is completely out of control.
If you have high clarity but LOW energy, you will manifest exactly what you want, but it will take a long time to do so.

Energy and Matter

Money is not real. It is an agreement based on energy.

We use money, or cash as a symbol of an energy exchange. Simply because it is easier to fold than chickens.
You need energy to manifests things. Physical things exist in the physical world, but at a quantum level they are only energy temporarily suspended in a physical form. To bring them into this physical form requires energy.

Einstein developed a mathematical relationship between matter and energy. Although this is usually used in nuclear physics it can have a metaphysical and metaphorical meaning for manifestation.

E = mc²

Energy = Mass x the speed of light squared.

This formula tells us that energy and matter are interchangeable. Everything that exists in the material world has a direct correlation to the energy required to create AND sustain it.

It takes energy to create or change something. That energy is YOUR internal life-force energy. You have as much material success as you can energetically sustain. If you increase your wealth but do nothing to increase your ability to sustain it you will lose it. This is why lottery winners lose or squander their winnings quickly. If they had the energy to sustain that wealth they would already HAVE that wealth.

Likewise those who have high energy and wealth recover quickly from any losses.

Those people who have a lot of money do so because they have a lot of energy. If you want to increase your wealth – increase your energy.

Money is only energy. You have as much money as you have energy. ncrease your energy and money will follow. Increase your money without increasing your energy, and the money will leave.

So what is this energy, how can you increase it and use it for manifesting?

Path of manifestation – through the four bodies.

Your being consists of four aspects or four “bodies”
The path of manifestation begins in the spiritual body and travels down through all the bodies until finally it manifests in the physical reality.

All manifestation happens in 4 stages, these correspond to the four bodies. Spiritual, Mental, Emotional, Physical. Anything you want to manifest has to pass through each of these four bodies, in four steps. If you are not manifesting what you want, that’s because it got stuck in one of these four bodies.

For example, take the manifestation of a new career; it passes through the four bodies like this…

Spiritual.

You first become aware of an inspiration or the idea that you would like a career change. You might try to ignore it for a while but eventually the call becomes too loud and you pay attention.

Mental.

Having had the idea you start to think through your options and choices. You might do research into different careers and ask questions. This is an intellectual process where you make the decision about which career to move to.

Emotional.

Once you have made a choice about your career you begin to get excited, and passionate. You really burn with the desire to achieve your outcome.

Physical. Taking action is a physical act, something you DO that moves you into your new career. You enrol on the training, you apply for the job, and you send out the application forms, you call people up, you go for interviews. There may be a number of actions that need to be taken until you have your new career and you do will get no results.

Energy in the four bodies.

The stronger the energy in each of your four bodies the quicker and more reliably you will manifest your chosen outcomes. Here are some ways you can increase the energy in each body and the bonus is increasing the energy in any one body will have a positive effect on all the others.

Physical Body

The physical body comprises the energy particles which have formed into subatomic particles, which form the atoms, molecules, cells and bodily structures that make up YOU. Energy in the physical body is the easiest to understand, clear and raise. The main elements are food, exercise and environment.

Eat good food. Make sure it is food that is right for you, rather than the latest fashion diet programme. To find out if any particular food is good for you pay attention to your energy levels 60 – 90 minutes after you have eaten it. If it increases your energy levels, it is good for you. If it decreases your energy levels don’t eat it again.

Be wary of food that causes you to go into “energy overdraft”. Sugar, caffeine etc will increase your energy immediately after eating or drinking them, but later will cause your energy levels to plummet.

Exercise is essential for physical energy levels and strength. Take part in any exercise that you enjoy and that you feel benefits your body. You may like to try different types of exercise before you find the right one for you, and you may have several that you take part in at different times for different reasons. The general and golden rule is if it feels good, do it more.

Taking care of your physical body in the way that is best for you will increase the physical energy.

Take Action

Taking action is where you can increase your success at manifesting, by ensuring your actions are directed towards achieving what you want. If you want to get fit or lose weight, eating cake and sitting on the sofa will not move you towards this outcome, whereas exercising and eating less will. If your actions are out of alignment with what you want to achieve you will be unsuccessful. If your actions are in alignment with what you want to achieve, it doesn’t guarantee the outcome, but it does significantly increase the chances.

Emotional Body

Your emotional body contains all your memories and emotional pattering, both negative and positive.

Emotions have a purpose and that purpose is to tell you that something is not right. However when we hold on to negative emotions from the past they are not helpful and actually damage the body. We call this “unresolved negative emotions”. Most people have unresolved negative emotions to some degree. If, when, you recall a memory of the past you feel a negative emotion then you have unresolved negative emotions. This is un released emotion from the past affecting the present.

Fear of failure or anger or resentment of successful people is a common block to manifestation.

For many people the idea that it is possible to be free of painful emotions from the past seems impossible. In fact not only is it possible but also easy using the latest emotional releasing therapies. Time Line Therapy TM and Higher Self Therapy are highly effective at releasing ALL negative emotions.

Limiting Beliefs

A belief is anything we hold to be true, or think of as being true. A belief is limiting if it stops us being, doing or having what we want to be, do or have.

Our beliefs are often deeply unconscious, but will guide, influence and affect every aspect of our life. If you believe “you have to work hard for money” or something similar, you will experience just that. The unconscious mind controls and filters your perceptions, so if you came upon an opportunity to make money in a way that was easy, your unconscious mind would simply delete that information so you could not act on it. You would simply miss opportunities and continue to work hard for your money. Because beliefs are unconscious, the only way to know what beliefs you are running is to take a look at what your life is like. If you manifest success easily then you likely have healthy beliefs that support this, if your life is more difficult or challenging than you would like then you might want to look at what you believe.

Negative emotions like anger, sadness, fear, hurt and guilt and all limiting beliefs act as huge emotional blocks that simply stop the manifestation process in its tracks.

The unconscious mind understands emotions, but not logic. Emotions do not make sense, and they are not meant to. You cannot “think” or “rationalise” emotions away. Emotional problems require emotional therapies.

It is easy to increase the energy in your emotional body by releasing negative emotions and limiting beliefs. There are many effective techniques such as Time Line TherapyTM or Higher Self Therapy.

When considering any technique it’s essential that they actually RELEASE the negative emotions. Releasing doesn’t mean you simply “feel better” not that you have “worked through them” or now “understand them”. Releasing means they have gone, you no longer feel them; they are released, deleted, absent, no more. You will still have the memory of all past events but you can remember them without the painful emotions. This clears the path of manifesting through the emotional body.

Mental Body

The Mental body is where your logical rational thoughts happen. You use this to make good decisions, manage complex tasks and focus your attention. Your mental body acts like a focussing lens to direct your energy towards what you want.

Perhaps you have noticed that wealthy people, self made millionaires demonstrate an ability to juggle many tasks, reduce complex situations to simple ones and are extremely mentally dextrous. They are masters at planning. It is this faculty that enables them to get and stay wealthy. They can weigh up risks and don’t take stupid ones. They can filter out unnecessary or distracting information with a mental clarity that can literally cut through the nonsense like a knife.
Increasing the energy in your mental body will increase your ability to reason and use logic. Your mental body is in charge of your thoughts and thinking.

You can increase the energy in your mental body by exercising it, in the same way as you would exercise your physical body, by using it, stretching it and challenging it.

Rich people are bigger than their problems. Poor people are smaller than their problem.

Increase the energy in your Mental Body

Self Mastery

Master yourself and be true to your word. Make decisions and stick to them. Make commitments and promises and stick to them. Use your willpower. When you make a decision to do something, regardless of how hard it gets, keep going. Most people fail or are unsuccessful simply because they do not have the self discipline to stick at something. They simply give up.

Challenge yourself

Other ways to increase the energy in your mental body is to increase your mental and intellectual abilities, by challenging and exercising your mind. Learn new things, read more, and different types of books, take courses, explore topics and areas that are new to you and cause you to think in a new way.

The Spiritual body or Higher Self

The spiritual body is pure spirit. It is the part of you that yearns to know god and have spiritual experiences which are beyond words. It is through your spiritual body that you receive the inspiration for what to manifest, and for HOW to manifest it.

What is delivered by your higher self may be the full, ultimate and final complete achievement of your goal, and it may be that your higher self opens up the path for you to achieve it.

Your higher self does this by sending you inspiration. This might be: the plot and words for the book, the idea for a great new product, the solution to your marketing problem, what to say in your advertisement, or the perfect thing to say to a potential client the closes the deal. Throughout history great thinkers have received inspiration from their Higher Selves, the structure of DNA, and the theory of relativity, the composition of the atom, equations and theories for solving many scientific, conundrums, artistic visions and the solutions to problems.

When you can connect to your higher self and receive information and insight your goals and desires become easy to manifest. Your Higher Self will send you what you need to achieve your goal. All you need to do is to ask.

Failed Manifestation

If you are not manifesting what you want it is because the manifestation process is getting stuck in one of the four bodies. If the process has not fully worked through or has skipped a body the process in will loop but never manifest. If you start to take action before you have thought the idea through in the mental body, you will take the wrong action. Or if you take action before you clear your negative emotions, you will continually fail to achieve your dreams, or even self sabotage. If you take no action, but continue to ask the universe, your desire will not manifest.
Once you are really clear about what you want. Consciously and with intent bring the manifestation process through each body.

Ask your higher self for help; be ready to receive the inspiration. Clarify your choices and make decisions. Create a plan. Notice where you are confident and where you have any fears or doubts and release them. Finally take appropriate action.

If you want to increase your income, then increase your capacity to generate and maintain energy in all of your four bodies. If you want to grow your wealth, grow yourself, evolve, change and improve.

Download an Audio Version of this blog/newsletter here

Well, Yes! In a way it does.

As the title “pioneer” suggests you are the pioneer of change, which means you are challenging the status quo. You have seen a new vision for how the world could be, or how you would like to live your life. You have brought in, via the genius of your own inspiration, a new idea, or a new concept, one that you want to ground and bring into being. You are taking a raw idea and bringing it into a physical form. To do this, things need to change.

The fact that it is new means that others will not find it easy to accept at first. Not all great ideas are accepted straight away. In a funny kind of way, if you get resistance you should take it as a sign that you are on to the right path.

At Psycademy, we are known for turning thinking on its head. We look at what most people do – and do the exact opposite. And that means that many people don’t agree with us. They think we are “wrong” or strange or even mad.

But actually that is a good thing. I know that challenging people’s way of thinking is part of my life’s purpose. It is by taking on new ways of thinking, and doing, that we can become what we are meant to become.

In every area of life there are the accepted norms. Even personal development has its own accepted and standard beliefs, which if you dare to deviate from will bring down the wrath of others. I should know from the e-mails I get!

In the promo e-mails for my last teleseminar I challenged some conventions. I suggested that protection was the last thing we should be doing, and my goodness it caused a stir. You would think I was promoting a satanic mass from the way people objected.

Indeed many of my e-mails gently (or not so gently) push the boundaries of accepted thinking. And many people feel obliged to e-mail me in to “set me straight” and tell me I am wrong.
But this is PERFECT. When people e-mail me to tell me how wrong I am, I know that I am on the right path. What I say may or may not be true, but the very fact that it challenges people’s thinking lets me know that I’m on track. That and the wonderful e-mails from people telling me how they love that my newsletters “make them think”.

Here is what one person said about a recent message:

“I want to acknowledge you for the work you do and what you bring to the world. This is a very pertinent and brilliant piece of marketing and what I really love the most is that you work on the edge, stretching people beyond what they ever thought or believed was possible and that really is to be commended. Go get em girl! You are a complete inspiration!!. Happy new year to you with lots of love Mary.”

Many of my readers, and clients are pioneers in their own field. And as a pioneer of change you will be challenged. So when things get hard, that’s perfect. It means you are challenging the old way of thinking.

Think about it… if the change you are pioneering was easy, it would have already happened.

For some reason YOU have been chosen or volunteered to lead this change. For some reason YOU have been inspired to ground break new ground. Never doubt that it will be hard at times. But NEVER doubt the importance of your role in the birth of a new order.

As a pioneer you are a leader. You are the keeper of the vision, the holder of the vision. So no matter what others say, stay true to your vision.

At this time, more than ever before, the old, accepted norms will no longer serve us. The old ways must be challenged. Einstein said:

“You can’t solve a problem with the same level of thinking that created it.” And…

“If at first, the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it.”

The current world situation was caused by old ways of thinking, they were not wrong but they don’t serve us now. So think something new. Just for the hell of it. Challenge what you believe you know. Question what you thought was true. If it is true it will hold and be even stronger for you. But if it’s not then isn’t it better to let that thinking go?

“Why sometimes I think 6 impossible things before breakfast!”
The White Queen, Alice in Wonderland: Lewis Carol

There are enough robots in the world, blindly doing and thinking what they have been told to do and think. It takes strength of mind and courage to think something new. It takes an open mind to be receptive to new ideas and ideals. So open your mind, and keep it open. You don’t have to agree with everything new, but the very act of considering it stretches your mind.

Keep stretching your own mind. Keep stretching other people’s minds.

My invitation to you is to be the pioneer that will lead the world to change at this time. It is part of my purpose to shake up old ways of thinking. To turn your thinking on its head. It’s also part of my purpose to support others to do the same. If you would like to know how you can pioneer your vision, contact me.

Ok – so who’s up for a satanic mass?

Before the ascent into spirit can begin the descent into spirit must be complete.

We have a physical body so that we can experience the physical reality. One aspect of the physical reality is wealth, and money. Money is not real, it is only energy.
To reject any aspect of the physical reality is to resist it. Resistance creates problems and can feel painful. Money is a powerful motivator. Money is very close to some of the most potent and powerful forms of energy. It is an energy so powerful that many spiritual people reject it. But to do so is to deny yourself the pleasures and joy of the physical reality, which is the very purpose for your incarnating into flesh.

I’m not suggesting we are greedy or we pursue money for its own value. But if you are spiritual person who wants to make a difference in the world you need power, and with power comes money. Indeed money, power and energy are interchangeable. If you are rich it is because you have the energy to sustain that wealth. If you are poor and are given money but do not have the energy to sustain it the wealth will disappear.

When we incarnate from spirit, our consciousness moves down from the spiritual body into the mental body. At this point although we are aware of the material realm, we have not yet mastered it. At the same time, when our consciousness has awakened to the mental body we will have some memory of the spiritual realms and yearn to return there.

This yearning we may try to satisfy by seeking spiritual enlightenment. We may reject the material realm. We may try to ascend back to the spiritual world from whence we came. Indeed many people at this time endeavour to achieve this. They go on spiritual retreats and meditate. They join ashrams and orders. But without the grounding that comes from mastering the physical realms ascension is impossible.

With spiritual techniques and knowledge you can master the physical realm. Indeed it is only with spiritual techniques that you can achieve ascension. You must embrace the consciousness within all of your bodies until it is grounded in the physical and then you can ascend.

If you would like to know more about how you can Master Material Wealth then take a look at the Lightworker’s Guide to Mastering Materialism. It is an essential step to becoming a Lightworker.

The credit crunch has undoubtedly left many business owners feeling stressed and loosing sleep about how to manage a thriving business on an even tighter shoestring. It is always better to raise your inner threshold so that you can cope with more stress.

One of the most frequent questions I am asked is ‘why is it that some people can handle stress better than others?’ My answer is that everyone has their own unique inner threshold, which determines how stressed we let ourselves get and how we deal with it, and this is no different in business life.

The most common problem faced by business owners is balancing their perception about how much they can cope with and when they need to buy in external help, be it freelance or permanent employees. Whilst this is not a problem in itself, when the economy begins to shift and costs go up, employees can put additional strain on the business and threaten its ability to operate as the market continues to shrink. This is why it is crucial to work out exactly how much you can manage before you take on additional staff.

Are you working beyond your inner threshold?

The typical symptoms of being beyond your threshold include; problems concentrating, lack of focus, not getting things done, being clumsy and accident prone, poor sleep, inability to relax, minor illness, irritability, aggression and angry outbursts for small things.

There are many things that contribute to a reduced inner threshold and these include; confused unfocused thinking, unresolved negative emotions, unresolved events from the past, inner conflict, limiting beliefs, failure to take action and poor physical condition.

These things take up your valuable mind and thinking space, as the more mental clutter you have the less capacity you have for creative thinking, problem solving and inspired decision making. If it gets really bad you will find yourself unable to focus on important information being given to you or current events. You might even miss something vital; this is one way that accidents happen.

To raise your threshold you could heal up emotions from the past. I strongly advise releasing them using a proven technique such as Time Line Therapy (TM) or Higher Self Therapy. Rather than simply suppressing (ignoring) or expressing (talking about them) these two techniques actually RELEASE the emotions. Although suppression or expression are more common they have been proven to be ineffective at raising your inner threshold. Unresolved events from the past also affect your threshold as you will always have that particular event replaying in your mind and you will sometimes find it occurs at inappropriate times e.g. at work, in a meeting, during a speech etc.

Coping with a busy business

First and foremost, you need to be able to figure out what tasks you should focus on most i.e. the ones which will benefit you most. You should also take time to meditate or sit in silence so you can gather thoughts together and to push negative thoughts out, this will allow you to concentrate more on your work and with that slightly shorter list of tasks you can do it easily by yourself/within your team.

If you find yourself feeling a bit down and energy-less try doing some exercise, as the mind and the body effect each other, so by increasing your physical strength you’re also building up your mental strength. Exercising has many neurological benefits including triggering the reduction of stress hormones and the production of endorphins plus other “happy” hormones and neurotransmitters.

Also, try spending 10-30 minutes sitting in silence, this will remove all of your mental clutter and make you feel a lot more mentally lighter, also another quick tip is too look up when you feel upset because looking down takes you into your emotions.

How is your inner threshold? Are you above it? If you think you are, don’t panic, it can be raised and you can start to get back in control of your life.
