The Lion, The Wizard and The Goody Two Shoes

iStock_000016959424XSmall
When you were a child did you have a favourite movie? One that would transport you to another world where you could become completely lost and absorbed into the sounds, colours and emotions of the characters.

One of my favourites was The Wizard of Oz, and my favourite character was the Lion. Dorothy was always too much of a “goody two shoes” for my liking. With her clothes all clean and neat and always doing the “right thing” and then there’s that too-cute dog… But that’s another story.

The reason I liked the Lion so much was because although he claimed to have no courage, he did the bravest things. Imagine setting off on a journey with a bunch of strangers you’ve only just met, one of them a self confessed psychopath (the Tin man with no heart) to go to a place you’re not sure even exists, let alone how to get there! That’s a pretty brave thing in my book.

I also loved what a dreamer he was. Do you remember when you were a child having amazing fantasies. How real they seemed. But like most people I’m sure you found “reality” creeping in to chip away at them bit by bit.

The bravest thing about the Lion was that despite his “lack of courage” he relentlessly and bravely followed his dream of becoming brave. He believed with absolute certainty that he COULD become something that he wasn’t yet.

Well it’s nearly February and I’m wondering how brave you are feeling about those goals you set in January. How bravely are you holding on to YOUR dreams? Are you letting that pesky thing that others call “reality” challenge your own resolve and beliefs?

Here are a couple of little tricks I do when I need to draw up that extra bit of bravery, resolve and belief.

List all the things that I have done that scared me $%!*=$$ at the time.

Moved away from my family in Australia to the other side of the world aged 15
Escaped from my abuser aged 20
Got an engineering degree
My PhD viva with the chief technical director from Rover and Pro VC of Birmingham University
Cycled across Spain, alone
Cycled across France alone
Started my business instead of getting another job when I was made redundant. I had no clue if it would work, and I had a family to support
Signing up for a coaching programme on a credit card, not knowing how I would pay it off
Ignored the “recession” and decided that this would increase sales (and it did)
When you’ve made your list of brave things you have done, spend a few moments going back to how you felt back then. Maybe you were both a little bit scared, but also very brave. As you think of that past version of you send some of the courage that you have now BACK in time to you in the past. Now that you know you did the right thing send back the certainty that it’s the right thing to do?

And the next time you’re feeling less than completely brave, remember the lion who was brave enough to go in search of courage, and imagine what a future you who had succeeded in facing the challenge might want you to know.

Be brave.

I love you.

Have you got your energy balance right?

psychicscienceDid you know that your success in life is largely down to having a good balance of both masculine and feminine energy. When you have too much or too little of one it can cause your life to seize up like as stuck as a very stuck thing, or wreak havoc and chaos.

Masculine energy is Rational Thought, Logic, Systems, Process, Control, Heat, Stillness, Light, Discipline, Steady State, Status quo, Consciousness, Structure, Order. It says “NO”

Feminine energy is Creative, Inspired, Raw Power, Cool, Dark, Movement, Change, Flexibility, Chaos, Intuition, Permitting, Dynamic. It Say’s YES

For example, a project will be a success if you take inspired creativity (feminine energy) and channel it systematically, with a logical plan (masculine). The result is you have fabulous finished project.

But when the balance is out the result could be very different.

Here are some of the signs your energy is out of balance.

Too Much Feminine Energy

  • Fuzzy thinking, you can’t concentrate, start things but then get distracted and fail to finish things. Is your home or office full of unfinished projects
  • You can’t focus, you have lots of projects on the go at the same time
  • You say yes to things and later regret it.
  • You find it really difficult to make decisions, and agonise over them for days, weeks or months.
  • You are disorganised, lose things forget things have a “head like a sieve”. Sometimes you can’t even remember what you said in a meeting yesterday or last week.
  • Your life is rather chaotic, with your days lacking structure or plans

Too Much Masculine Energy

  • You find it very hard to take risks, even if you know it’s the right thing and miss great opportunities as a result. Have you ever kicked yourself for saying no to something that later turned out to be a great idea?
  • You like to have everything planned out to the last detail. You get very stressed when you have to change your plans at short notice or if there isn’t a plan.
  • When circumstances change and you need to adapt, change you often don’t notice until it’s too late.
  • Others accuse you of being rigid, Inflexible or a stickler for rules.
  • You like to know the “rules” and what’s expected. You can’t stand it when things seem to be disorganised or if others are making it up as they go along.
  • You regularly try to make changes in your life, but things just go back to how they were.

Signs You Have Low Energy Generally

  • You try to manifest money, or things but it never works
  • Others don’t listen or ignore you. You lack power, authority and presence.
  • At the end of the day you have been really busy and are exhausted but have little or nothing to show for it.
  • You attract lots of interest and attention but it’s often from people who you really don’t want to be around. You find them repellent, but can’t seem to shake them off as they stick to you like glue and keep showing up wherever you go.
  • Your personal relationships aren’t working or nonexistent.
  • You try to get the attention of people who you know will be able to help you and they give you the brush off, you can’t connect with them.
  • You are very spiritual but find it hard to bring your spiritual insights into physical reality. You have great spiritual wisdom, but no-one will listen to you.

But when you’re energy is working, and you can maintain a dynamic balance of both polarities success becomes almost inevitable

Here is just a sampling of what is possible if your sexual energy is functioning exquisitely.

  • Would you like to be highly creative and able to channel your creativity into successful and profitable projects?
  • Would you like to finally get organised so that you know where things are and don’t waste time?
  • You would like to be fully in your body and feel alive in the present moment.
  • Would you like to just KNOW if an opportunity is a good one or not, and be able to take decisive action?
  • Would you like to be able to focus with laser clarity so that you could get things DONE?
  • Would you like to have crystal clarity of mind so that you can think logically, rationally and clearly? It’s this that makes it possible to make good decisions and get things done
  • Would you like to manage your time better so that every day you achieve something extraordinary and can feel satisfied at the end of the day?
  • Do you wish you could just make snap decisions that are the rights ones without agonising over them?
  • Do you wish you could be more spontaneous and have more fun?
  • Would you like to have the “Midas touch” and create amazing coincidences all the time? would you like to experience amazing LUCK and good fortune
  • Would you like to be able to say NO to things (and the right things)
  • Do you wish people would listen to you, seek you out and have them hang on your every word. Can you imagine what it would be like to have people flock to hear you, see you, talk to you, be near you?
  • Would you like to attract and keep your soul mate and have the relationship be fulfilling and satisfying on every level?
  • Do you wish you could magnetise money?

Well who wouldn’t? find out how it’s possible click here

Stepping Out of your Comfort Zone

Everything you want is outside of your comfort zone. That’s why you want it, but don’t have it. Everything you currently have is within your comfort zone. So…

In order to have what you want, you need to step out of your comfort zone

You need to cross that invisible barrier of safety to reach out and grasp it. If you don’t it will stay forever just out of reach.

This was brought home to me just a few months ago when I was running a teleseminar with over 500 people on the line. I was energised and excited but not anxious or nervous. I was prepared, but not panicking. I was ready.

As I came off the call, which was a complete success and received rave reviews I thought back to my first ever teleseminar I’d run nearly 2 years ago. I was nervous, very nervous. I wasn’t at all sure it would be OK. I was unsure of the technology, the process how to handle questions how to do it at all. And I’d only had 12 people on the call.

But despite those unpleasant anxious feelings I went ahead and did it anyway. It wasn’t perfect, but it worked. I made some sales and got some good feedback. I had done it. I’d stepped out of my comfort zone and done it. Since that first one I’ve run more and more, each one becoming easier and easier. I’ve become more and more comfortable with the technology and the process to the extent that it is a routine event, no more challenging than making a cup of tea. And all because I started with that first teleseminar, and kept on doing them time and again. I now run as many as 7 in a week!

This process of constantly stretching ourselves is how we grow
comfortzone
Not only ourselves but also our business. We set ourselves a challenge, and rise to meet it. we step out of our comfort zone of what we know, to what we do NOT know.

One of the principles of physics states that the universe is in constant vibration. The subatomic particles of every atom are always in a state of flux and change. Their state or energy level is always either increasing or decreasing, but it never stays the same.

This applies to us when we interpret that to mean that we too are always in a state of change, and we can choose whether we are increasing or decreasing.

We increase and grow by setting challenges and stepping up to meet those.

We decrease when we shy away from challenges or try to keep things the same by maintaining the status quo.

The warning to us all is that if you don’t constantly grow, you will actually shrink

If you are trying to stay the same, the world will progress without you and you will be left behind. Those businesses who shunned the internet and then went bankrupt when no-one was visiting the high street are a case in point. Those who shun social media and are left scratching their head wondering why advertising isn’t working any more are another.

I had a client with a fear of driving to unfamiliar places. It started when she first got married and her husband did most of the driving. She rarely drove out of her home town and when she did drive to a new place it became a major event that required planning and much psyching up to be able to do it. By avoiding challenges she had made even a minor event a huge challenge for her.

This can happen in your business and your life. When we don’t grow, we shrink. We grow by challenging ourselves and meeting those challenges head on.

As we continue to step outside of our comfort zone it actually becomes easier and easier

The sensation of being ever so slightly afraid gets translated into excitement and then becomes linked to a sense of achievement even before you’ve succeeded.

The real joy and beauty of stepping outside of your comfort zone is that even when things don’t come off as you’d hoped or planed, even if you “failed” you can relax in the satisfaction that you had a go, you tried. Just stepping up, in and of itself, puts you in the category of extraordinary people, because the sad truth is the majority of people constantly stay resolutely stuck inside their comfort zone and as a result have few real achievements to their name.

Here’s a simple step by step process to set and rise above challenges

  • Decide on something you want to do, be, have or achieve. Make it something that will make you feel really good when you’ve done it. Make sure it’s something you want, not something someone else thinks you should do.
  • Check that it is exciting, and just a little bit scary. Abject terror is a sign you’re stretching yourself just a little too far, but it needs to have some charge to it or you’re keeping yourself small.
  • Set a date by when you will do it. The sooner the better.  Put the date in your diary and stick to it no matter what.
  • Find a mentor or get help, support or coaching if you need it. Highly successful people all have mentors to support them as they step up to new challenges, so you’ll be in good company.
  • Mark out the steps in the process that need to happen and by when.
  • Start NOW. Stepping out of your comfort zone means it WILL feel uncomfortable. It’s all too easy to put it off, delay, tell yourself you’ll do it tomorrow, or later. No! No! No! Start now, no matter what.

My Gratitude List For 2010

I have had a truly momentous year. Some good things, some bad, some great, some challenging. But all transformational, and all ultimately GOOD.

Throughout this amazing year I would like to acknowledge some of the people who have supported me, inspired me, mentored me or just been around and been fabulous.

First of all I’d like to thank everyone who participated in our programmes this year. Without you we don’t have a business, and I wouldn’t have got to live my purpose, so a huge thank you if you joined us for:

  • Professional skills for psychics in January. Unleashing the skills of the attendees on the world – so they can go out and make big changes.
  • Spiritual Entrepreneur mastermind every month, Psycademy’s online mastermind club helping spiritual people ground their vision, and access higher realms of spirituality too. I just love the questions we get in the forum. Awesome people.
  • Secrets of Spiritual Sales, the Integrity Formula, in October unleashing powerful spiritual people on the world to go out and create huge transformation.
  • Harnessing the energy of the 2012 shift, in November.  This has been an amazing vibrant group, who really threw themselves into getting ready for the shift.
  • Mystery of Energy Transmutation, in November. This group have been discovering the joys and pleasures of harnessing energy in the body and using it to, success, charisma, unconditional love, and power.
  • Spiritual Practitioner 2010. This, our flagship training was the most profound for me and the group. Seeing people going from struggling in their lives and business, to pinpointing the causes of their (and their clients’) troubles and the best part – then eliminating the cause. This is where I get to live my life purpose to its fullest. Transforming the planet one amazing person at a time.

Thank you too, if you participated in any of our no-charge offerings, that includes you dear subscriber for reading my newsletters. We so love and appreciate the kind words you e-mail us about my articles. Thank you if you joined us for:

  • Professional skills for psychics preview call.
  • Spiritual Entrepreneur Telesummit. Where I got to be professionally nosey and ask other successful entrepreneurs the secrets of their success.
  • Harnessing the energy of the 2012 shift in June AND November because it created so much buzz.
  • Ask the Oracle. Where I channelled the answers to your questions from my high level guide “No One Guide”. I loved the energy of this call so much I’m now doing them regularly for our Mastermind members.
  • Secrets of Spiritual Sales, The Integrity Formula webinar, where spiritual people learnt to ground their business ideas into a financially profitable enterprise.

I’d like to thank my amazing team. They allow me to do the work I was put here to do, by making sure the work that I was NOT put here to do gets done. I feel extremely lucky and blessed to have such a vibrant, dynamic and truly supportive group of people. I’m proud of how the team pull together to build and grow our business, each member happily picking up any slack from other members when necessary.

Mary McNeil, my e-commerce manager makes sure all the things that happen quietly and silently behind the scenes of the website happen so that when you order a product, you get it, and much more. Mary is also great when she has her coaching hat on to hone and refine my outlandish plans.

Melanie Roke my PA and filing fairy, she’s the one who knows where things are, and helps me find my desk when it disappears under a mountain of paper. Melanie manages our events so that everyone turns up at the right place at the right time, and gets tea when they do so. Melanie copes well with my unusual working which is a must for working for me – apparently not everyone takes a break to do Tantra mid morning. Melanie has an open mind and a big heart and is always there with a giggle and a twinkle of fun.

All my support team were particularly amazing when I had surgery earlier this year, they just made sure the business kept running whilst I rested.

I’d also like to thank all the medical staff who participated in my healing after my surgery this year, and for the support of my husband through the cancer near miss. I kept that one quiet and can now share that I’m 100% healthy.

Bernadette Doyle has inspired me hugely this year with her mentoring and support. It’s largely down to Bernadette that I now attract more of my ideal clients, have a waiting list and trebled my turnover this year.

Ces and Jay Loftus who have produced simply stunning artwork for products and website. They have become a key part of Psycademy as we continue to add more and more products all needing graphics. Their intuitive artwork is beautiful and inspired.

If I haven’t mentioned you here it’s only so I don’t bore my subscribers too much. But you know who you are. I know who you are and I thank you.

Thanks and gratitude to you. Even if you don’t think I’m thanking you, please understand that if you are reading this then I am thanking you personally.

Thank you.

Thank you for being you.

Thank you for being on the planet and sharing this journey with me.

Thank you.
