My Gratitude List For 2010
I have had a truly momentous year. Some good things, some bad, some great, some challenging. But all transformational, and all ultimately GOOD.
Throughout this amazing year I would like to acknowledge some of the people who have supported me, inspired me, mentored me or just been around and been fabulous.
First of all I’d like to thank everyone who participated in our programmes this year. Without you we don’t have a business, and I wouldn’t have got to live my purpose, so a huge thank you if you joined us for:
- Professional skills for psychics in January. Unleashing the skills of the attendees on the world – so they can go out and make big changes.
- Spiritual Entrepreneur mastermind every month, Psycademy’s online mastermind club helping spiritual people ground their vision, and access higher realms of spirituality too. I just love the questions we get in the forum. Awesome people.
- Secrets of Spiritual Sales, the Integrity Formula, in October unleashing powerful spiritual people on the world to go out and create huge transformation.
- Harnessing the energy of the 2012 shift, in November. This has been an amazing vibrant group, who really threw themselves into getting ready for the shift.
- Mystery of Energy Transmutation, in November. This group have been discovering the joys and pleasures of harnessing energy in the body and using it to, success, charisma, unconditional love, and power.
- Spiritual Practitioner 2010. This, our flagship training was the most profound for me and the group. Seeing people going from struggling in their lives and business, to pinpointing the causes of their (and their clients’) troubles and the best part – then eliminating the cause. This is where I get to live my life purpose to its fullest. Transforming the planet one amazing person at a time.
Thank you too, if you participated in any of our no-charge offerings, that includes you dear subscriber for reading my newsletters. We so love and appreciate the kind words you e-mail us about my articles. Thank you if you joined us for:
- Professional skills for psychics preview call.
- Spiritual Entrepreneur Telesummit. Where I got to be professionally nosey and ask other successful entrepreneurs the secrets of their success.
- Harnessing the energy of the 2012 shift in June AND November because it created so much buzz.
- Ask the Oracle. Where I channelled the answers to your questions from my high level guide “No One Guide”. I loved the energy of this call so much I’m now doing them regularly for our Mastermind members.
- Secrets of Spiritual Sales, The Integrity Formula webinar, where spiritual people learnt to ground their business ideas into a financially profitable enterprise.
I’d like to thank my amazing team. They allow me to do the work I was put here to do, by making sure the work that I was NOT put here to do gets done. I feel extremely lucky and blessed to have such a vibrant, dynamic and truly supportive group of people. I’m proud of how the team pull together to build and grow our business, each member happily picking up any slack from other members when necessary.
Mary McNeil, my e-commerce manager makes sure all the things that happen quietly and silently behind the scenes of the website happen so that when you order a product, you get it, and much more. Mary is also great when she has her coaching hat on to hone and refine my outlandish plans.
Melanie Roke my PA and filing fairy, she’s the one who knows where things are, and helps me find my desk when it disappears under a mountain of paper. Melanie manages our events so that everyone turns up at the right place at the right time, and gets tea when they do so. Melanie copes well with my unusual working which is a must for working for me – apparently not everyone takes a break to do Tantra mid morning. Melanie has an open mind and a big heart and is always there with a giggle and a twinkle of fun.
All my support team were particularly amazing when I had surgery earlier this year, they just made sure the business kept running whilst I rested.
I’d also like to thank all the medical staff who participated in my healing after my surgery this year, and for the support of my husband through the cancer near miss. I kept that one quiet and can now share that I’m 100% healthy.
Bernadette Doyle has inspired me hugely this year with her mentoring and support. It’s largely down to Bernadette that I now attract more of my ideal clients, have a waiting list and trebled my turnover this year.
Ces and Jay Loftus who have produced simply stunning artwork for products and website. They have become a key part of Psycademy as we continue to add more and more products all needing graphics. Their intuitive artwork is beautiful and inspired.
If I haven’t mentioned you here it’s only so I don’t bore my subscribers too much. But you know who you are. I know who you are and I thank you.
Thanks and gratitude to you. Even if you don’t think I’m thanking you, please understand that if you are reading this then I am thanking you personally.
Thank you.
Thank you for being you.
Thank you for being on the planet and sharing this journey with me.
Thank you.
Steps to ground yourself
Spiritual people often talk about the need to “ground yourself” but what does this
really mean and how do you know if you need grounding?
In my last two newsletters you discovered the signs that you are ungrounded and how to avoid the mistakes people make when trying to ground yourself. In this article I’ll reveal the 7 essential steps you must take to ground yourself.
Being ungrounded happens when we spend a lot of time meditating or being out of the flow of life or even out of our bodies. It’s essential to get connected to our spiritual source for inspiration and guidance but we then need to bring those insights back into the real world and implement them. We need to ground our spiritual visions. Being ungrounded stops you from functioning effectively in the real world. It’s great to be spiritual, but even more important to effectively use your spiritual wisdom to make changes to the world and your life.
Here are some simple positive steps you can take to get yourself grounded.
1. Take action
Doing something in the physical world brings you back into physical reality. Taking action has the added bonus of bringing your spiritual visions into the physical world. It doesn’t matter what action you take, any action steps will bring your attention and focus into the physical so you become grounded. If you are feeling ungrounded it’s best to take actions that aren’t vital or where mistakes don’t matter.
Tidying, filing, organising or doing any simple tasks that are orientated on your physical environment are perfect ways to ground yourself. This is especially true when you have to concentrate on organising and where to put things.
2. Stand on one leg
Standing on one leg forces you to find and keep your balance. It brings your attention to your physical body and therefore the physical world. Alternate which leg you stand on and even use a yoga balance posture to add a bit of extra challenge. Yoga is great for brining you into your body and grounding you.
3. Talk to someone
Talking and holding a conversation brings your attention into the present which is where the physical world always is. Pay attention to what the other person is saying and put all of your attention onto the conversation.
4. Cook and eat
Cooking is a very grounding activity. Cooking is one way of nurturing your physical body so by preparing a meal for it, you will be putting your attention onto the physical world and therefore be grounding yourself.
Eating is another activity that brings your attention to the physical body. When you eat make sure your awareness is fully on the food. Notice how it tastes and how your body feels as you eat it and just afterwards. A word of caution here though, many spiritual people become overweight because they use food as an attempt to ground themselves, but they don’t eat with awareness so it leads to overeating.
5. Wash
Washing your face or taking a shower are yet more ways of nurturing your physical body. It brings your awareness to your physical body and your attention into the physical world. As you wash make sure you are paying attention to the process of washing. You can also use cold water to really wake up your senses and physical body.
6. Breathe
Specifically breathe deeply whilst you put your attention on your body. Breathing increases life force energy. In addition, energy flows where the attention goes, so breathing with your attention on your body will, literally, breathe life force energy into your body. As an extra tweak you can hold your breath on the OUT breath. The four points of the breath (in, hold full, out, hold empty) each relate to an element and “hold out” is the earth element. Holding the out breath will increase the earth element which is the essence of being grounded.
7. Count The Beans (Balance Your Bank Accounts)
I have a friend who is an accountant who calls himself a “bean counter”. Being grounded increases your ability to manifest not only your spiritual visions, but also MONEY. Because money relates to the physical world balancing your accounts, or even just checking the accounts and making sure there are no outstanding bills is very grounding.
Being Grounded Makes You The Vehicle That Connects Heaven And Earth
Not only will being grounded make you feel better it will help you to bring your spiritual vision into the physical reality, to ground your insights and dreams. It’s great to be spiritual but even better to be spiritually connected, where you become a vehicle for connecting heaven and earth, from God’s mind to your mind, to your body, and into mother earth.
Increases your Personal Presence
When you are ungrounded you are not present, your energy body is out of your physical body, and it’s also out of this time zone. Energetically, you’re not all here. This will make you seem invisible and lack personal presence and charisma. If you’re not present you have no presence. The more present you are the more presence you have.
Increases your Power to Change The World
Being grounded and present not only increases your personal presence and power (energy and power are very closely linked) but it also increase your influence and ability to create change in the world. It is being grounded that separates the real spiritual people from the “fluffy bunnies” who are great at thinking happy thoughts and chanting, but often ineffective or powerless to make any real changes in the world.
Increases Your Financial Wealth
Being spiritual means you can access fantastic wisdom and insights. When you’re grounded that inspiration turns into products, services, business ideas and other means to generate money. Most really successful entrepreneurs know that getting an idea is only the first step, it then needs to be grounded into reality. Without grounding ideas are just dreams. Nice, fun and pleasant, but always fleeting.
Mistakes people make when trying to ground themselves – part 2
Spiritual people often talk about the need to “ground yourself” but what does this really mean and how do you know if you need grounding?
In my last newsletter you discovered the signs that you are ungrounded. In this second in a series of three articles you can avoid the mistakes people make when trying to ground themselves. In my next article I’ll reveal the essential steps to grounding yourself.
Here are some of the most common mistakes made by spiritual people, and even taught by spiritual teachers in an attempt to become grounded.
1. Meditate
Meditating simply takes you OUT of the physical reality. To ground yourself you need to do something that brings you IN to the physical. Meditating does not do this, instead it takes you into your imaginative mind and dreams.
2. Sit with it
I’ve often heard spiritual people or even teachers recommending “sitting with it” as a way to try to ground yourself. But “sitting with it” doesn’t bring you into the physical reality. It’s neither specific enough nor is it active enough. Although it IS important to come back to the physical reality slowly at some point you will have to stop sitting and start moving about.
3. Contemplate
As with “sitting with it” contemplation takes you back into your mind and imagination, which is the opposite of bringing you back into your body. In fact it keeps you OUT of your physical body.
4. Planning and thinking things through
Yes planning and thinking things through is important but it’s not the best way to start to ground yourself or your spiritual vision. It’s just not active enough. In management training there is a phenomenon known as the “planning trap” where individuals or a team become paralysed by over-planning and making sure they know ALL the steps to the whole process before they take any action. This is a surefire way to never get anything done.
5. Use a grounding visualisation or guided visualisation
This couldn’t be more wrong. When you are ungrounded you are OUT of your body and in your imaginative mind. You’re in the world of your thoughts and dreams. The very last thing you need to do is more imagining. Imagining you are grounded will only keep you out of the physical and in your mind. It’s not active enough and doesn’t involve your body.
So – now you know what NOT to do. I’m sure you’ve experienced some of these or had them recommended to you. Like me, you probably wondered why they didn’t work. The bottom line is that you need to get into your body. In the last article in this series, which you’ll find in my next newsletter, you can discover exactly what you need to do to ground yourself simply and effectively.
Signs that you are ungrounded
Spiritual people often talk about the need to “ground yourself” but what does this really mean and how do you know if you need grounding?

In this first of a series of three articles you can discover the signs that you are ungrounded. Then in my next two articles I’ll be sharing on how to avoid the mistakes people make when trying to ground themselves, and finally will reveal the essential steps to grounding yourself.
Being ungrounded happens when we spend a lot of time meditating or being out of the flow of life or even out of our bodies. It’s essential to get connected to our spiritual source for inspiration and guidance but we then need to bring those insights back into the real world and implement them. We need to ground our spiritual visions.
Being ungrounded stops you from functioning effectively in the real world
It’s great to be spiritual, but even more important to effectively use your spiritual wisdom to make changes to the world and your life.
Here are some clear signs that you’re ungrounded…
1. You feel spacey or even a little dizzy
When you’ve been meditating or doing any energy work your energy body or presence is literally outside of your physical body. Hence the term “out of body”. This makes you feel very spacey. The spaceyness you feel is the space inside your physical body which is usually filled by your energy body. What you feel is the vacuum or space left when your energy body vacates, and is still floating about somewhere in space. Even if you don’t feel this yourself you might notice that you seem invisible to others. This is because, energetically, you’re not really THERE. So others will react as if you’re not there.
2. You find it hard to finish tasks
You set out to do one thing but then find yourself doing something else all together. Did you plan to open a document on your computer but found yourself on the internet? Were you about to make a snack, but found yourself loading the dishwasher instead?
3. You can’t concentrate
You may notice this especially when trying to do tasks that require you to hold a series of steps in your head. If you can’t manage to recall more than one or two steps, or keep getting stuck at the same point this is a sign you are ungrounded.
Also if you are reading and you find that you’ve read the same sentence over and over but still don’t know what it said.
4. You find it hard to make yourself understood
You’re trying to explain something or retell an experience but people simply stare blankly at you. They just don’t get what you are trying to say. You repeat yourself. You start sentences but don’t finish them or change topic half way through.
5. You find it hard to understand others
You can hear the words. You understand the meaning of each individual word, but have no clue about the overall message. You simply cannot understand what other people are saying to you. You stare blankly back wondering what they are talking about.
People ask you a question and you don’t even realise they’ve spoken or you may answer in a completely different question or totally inappropriately.
There seems to be no connection between what’s going on inside your mind and the outside world. You might also find it hard to keep up with the conversation, not realising that others have moved on to a different subject, so you’re always one or two topics behind.
6. You get distracted or your mind wanders
You start to do something, and then find yourself doing something else entirely. You walk into a room and can’t remember what you came in for. You realise you’re holding something but can’t remember why. For example, you car keys, even though you don’t remember deciding to go out or where you might have been going to.
7. You lose track of time
This can cause you to be either late or early. You’re just not in the same time zone as everyone else. You are not only out of your body, you are out of time as well. Time travel is an important and useful spiritual tool (similar to bi-location), but you must be able to re-enter the NOW. When your attention and energy is on the past or future you will be out of the NOW and “out of time”. Your presence is not in the present. As with #1 you might seem invisible to others. It’s because you are not really there.
So –How grounded are you?
The above are just a few of the most obvious signs that you are not grounded and that your energy body and presence isn’t fully in your physical body. You might notice similarities with jet lag, being drunk or under the influence of certain drugs. This is no accident as all of those will also cause your energy body to move out of your physical body or alter your consciousness.
